Bilateral symposium between Panjab University and Yokohama National University was held on 19-20 August 2021. We chose "Circular Economy and Sustainability" as the general subject amid the stagnance of the world economy in order to promote the participation from both social science and engineering science. For more than hundred participants, 14 invited and oral lectures and 46 poster contributions were carried out during these two days. We invited special guest talkers from foreign coutries other than India and Japan, thanks to a Webex online connexion.
