Organized by YOKOHAMA-SXIP Organizing Committee
Supported by MEXT-JSPS “INTER- UNIVERSITY EXCHANGE PROJECT”
Date: 2024 August 27th 〜 September 6th
Venue: Yokohama National University (Tokiwadai, Hodogaya-ku, Yokohama, Japan)
The environment surrounding us is rapidly changing due to global issues such as the climate change, transition of social and industrial structure, and unpredictable emergence of new epidemies. In this symposium, we collaborate with our partner universities in India and Australia to identify the issues related with the sustainability transformation (SX) and artificial intelligence (AI) and explore the solutions for them. By exchanging the opinions between the students and faculty members in all partner institutes, this hybrid symposium will provide an opportunity for international interactions across various academic disciplines, such as robotic, mechanical, chemical, electrical, safety and medical engineerings, information sciences, economics, management, and education, to integrate different values. YNU hopes that the participants are able to find new viewpoints to widen the scope of research of their field.
Special International Symposium “Artificial Intelligence for Transformation to Sustainable Society” , Chairs: T. Arakawa and Y. Maeda
The symposium aims to explore the critical role of artificial intelligence (AI) in developing sustainable and resilient solutions to tackle global challenges. By inviting researchers from Yokohama National University and leading Indian universities, the symposium will foster discussions that encourage global collaboration and knowledge exchange in AI's application towards a sustainable future.
